<   IN ANOTHER UNIVERSE   >

INSTAGRAM POST
From a painting I made of the burning Amazon I assembled a fantasy tableau along these lines.

They say in an infinite universe we meet a parallel world, almost but not quite the same.

In this tale, most of the (2nd) planet Earth’s temperature has already risen 4C. Civilisation is ruled by a religious theocracy. My second self is long dead. My Louvre work, “The Burning Forest” painted in obscurity centuries earlier hangs as a minor, yet lonely classic in the room of the Mona Lisa (always popular, yet holding different meanings in all dimensions).

Crowds stupidly throng to receive The Mona Lisa's blessing, whose image is believed to be the reincarnation of the Virgin Mary. Only a single unimpressed person in the crowd looks around to see “The Burning Forest”, to a distant culture that could have acted on the dark predictions now come true. In her mind she is thinking “what was everyone doing at the time" !?
